CAFA- Canadian Association of Farm Advisors
The Canadian Association of Farm Advisors (CAFA) Inc. is a national non-profit professional umbrella organization dedicated to assisting farm families and businesses by increasing the skills and knowledge of farm advisors and consultants.
CCAA- Canadian Consulting Agrologists Association
The Canadian Consulting Agrologists Association (CCAA) is a membership-driven organization of professional consultants, dedicated to providing consulting services to agricultural sectors across the world. Committed to providing leadership for excellence in agricultural consulting, the CCAA promotes competency standards, certification and professional development.
AIC- Agricultural Institute of Canada
The Agricultural Institute of Canada exists to have a positive impact on the agri-food sector. It represents individuals and organizations involved in Canadian Agriculture, food, environment and health, providing them with opportunities for involvement in AIC activities, connection to a broad network of credible members and a voice for their views on food sufficiency, environment and food safety.
OIA- Ontario Institute of Agrologists
Since 1960, the Ontario Institute of Agrologists has been comprised of professionals in agriculture. The OIA serve as a professional regulatory body in the Province of Ontario. Working to establish the highest standards for professional Agrologists, efforts are directed by designated professionals to ensure that the public has complete trust in the health and safety of Ontario’s agriculture, agri-food and agri-life science sectors.
BCIA- British Columbia Institute of Agrologists
BCIA is the provincial organization authorized under the Agrologists Act, a British Columbia statute, to govern the professional conduct of its members, in support of the public interest. Persons who hold themselves out to be an agrologist must be duly registered with BCIA under the Act.
AIA- Alberta Institute of Agrologists
The Alberta Institute of Agrologists (AIA) is a professional regulatory body empowered under the Agrology Profession Act and Regulations of Alberta. Approximately 1500 Agrologists actively practicing their profession are registered with AIA.
MIA- Manitoba Institute of Agrologists
Founded in 1950, the Manitoba Institute of Agrologists (MIA) is an organization of professionals that is governed by the provisions of the Agrologists Act, enacted in 1983 by the Legislature of the Province of Manitoba. The Act gives MIA the mandate and the responsibility to license agrologists and regulate the practice of agrology in the province. Only those who are admitted to membership in the Institute and who maintain their credentials are entitled by provincial legislation to practice agrology in the province.
SIA- Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists
The Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists is an organization of university trained professionals that protects the public by ensuring its members are qualified and competent to provide knowledge and advice on agriculture and related areas.
OAQ - Order of the Agronomists of Quebec
The Professional Corporation of agronomists in the province of Quebec was established in 1937 and since 1973, bears the name of the Order of the Agronomists of Quebec. L'OAQ est un des 45 ordres professionnels du Québec dont le mandat est d'assurer la protection du public, notamment en contrôlant l'exercice de la profession de ses membres. The OAQ is governed by a Professional Code, which is unique to Quebec. OAQ is framed by the Agronomist Act and its regulations. The mission of the OAQ is to be the ultimate reference on the evolution of agri-food and the environment in Quebec.
PEIIA- Prince Edward Island Institute of Agrologists
The Prince Edward Island Institute of Agrologists is the organization of professional agriculturists in Prince Edward Island.
NSIA- Nova Scotia Institute of Agrologists
Established in 1953 the Nova Scotia Institute of Agrologists has provincial legislative authority to monitor the credentials of professionals working in the province's agri-food industry.
NBIA- New Brunswick Institute of Agrologists
The N.B. Institute of Agrologists is an organization of university-trained professionals dedicated to insuring that its members are qualified. It is also dedicated to the maintenance of high standards by members while providing knowledge and advice on agriculture and related areas to the public.

The mission of la Fédération des groupes conseils agricoles du Québec is to contribute to agricultural and agri-food business development and performance by supporting the group format and ensuring implementation and promotion of high-quality technical and economic management consulting services.
CCA- Certified Crop Advisor
The Certified Crop Adviser Program (CCA) is one of the professional certification programs offered by the American Society of Agronomy (ASA). It is a voluntary program providing a base level of standard through testing and raising that standard through continuing education.
The program is administered locally by 37 state/regional/provincial boards called "Local Boards" throughout the United States and Canada.
CGA-Canada - Certified General Accountants of Canada
Founded in 1908, the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada is a self-regulating, professional association of 71,000 students and Certified General Accountants — CGAs.
CMA Canada – Society of Certified Management Accountants of Canada

CA - Chartered Accountants of Canada
