Alberta Cattle Industry Market Report

Alberta direct cattle sales Friday saw no new trade to report. Business last week was all wrapped up by Wednesday. Sales volumes remained fairly large throughout the holidays at around 17,000 head.

In the U.S. trade last week saw a light rally on the live board which resulted in lighter fed sales as feedlots held out for more money. Northern trade was $3.00 higher than last week. Asking prices this week are around $90.00+ in the South and $140.00-142.00 in the North.
