The Mary Perlmutter Scholarship, awarded each year to a graduate student undertaking research of benefit to organic growers.

The scholarship is named after COG past-president and long-time organic grower Mary Perlmutter. The intent of the award is to promote and encourage research of benefit to organic growers.

Canadian Organic Growers' mandate is To lead local and national communities towards sustainable organic stewardship of land, food and fibre while respecting nature, upholding social justice and protecting natural resources. This is a lot to deliver, so to help us focus, we have developed a strategic plan that focuses primarily on promoting organic farming and gardening and on engaging consumers in the food system.
