Develop your skills in a hands-on environment. As a student, you train on over $4.5 million worth of the latest equipment loaned to Olds College by industry partners annually. You will learn in state-of-the-art facilities like our large labs and the John Deere Training Centre and study everything from satellite technology and computerized machinery to older makes and models.

The Agriculture Mechanics diploma is a two-year (four-term) program with two majors. You will take the same courses as students from the other major in your first year. These courses will focus on learning how to repair and overhaul a variety of different equipment including power trains, electrical, hydraulics, and diesel engines.

In your second year, you will specialize your training by choosing between the Industry or Farm major.
