Terry Betker, P.Ag., CAC
Terry Betker, a partner at Meyers Norris Penny LLP, is the director of Practice Development in Agriculture for the firm. He is responsible for the development of the Agricultural Services that are delivered to more than 15,000 farm clients. The service offerings for primary producers and agri-business owners included traditional tax and accounting, valuations, government programs, succession planning, business and strategic panning and specialized consulting services, including financial, marketing, production and human resource specialty areas.
Mr. Betker is a Certified Agricultural Consultant as well as a member, and past director, of the Manitoba Institute of Agrologists and of the Canadian Consulting Agrologists Association. He is also national director of the Canadian Farm Business Management Council, the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors and provincial director of Growing Manitoba.
Mr. Betker obtained his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at the University of Manitoba in 1973. He became a Professional Agrologist in 1986, enabling him to maintain high standards of excellence in the profession of Agrology and to increase the value of the agricultural profession to society. In 1993, he completed his Certified Agricultural Consultant (CAC) professional designation. The CAC is recognized as the national standard for professionalism in agricultural consulting.
In addition to his extensive professional and educational background in agriculture, he has 17 years experience as a grain and oilseed producer in Western Manitoba.
