Nancy Pirie, Program Manager

Nancy has worked extensively with the Eastern Ontario 4-H Council as regional specialist and coordinator, as well as the Quebec Young Farmers Federation. She is on the organizing committee for the Ottawa Valley Farm Show, and served as Director for the Shawville Fair. Nancy brings strong communication and organizational skills. Growing up on a dairy farm in Western Quebec, her knowledge of the agriculture world is extensive. Nancy is a welcome asset to Farm Management Canada. Nancy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trent University. Her dedication to bringing the industry together to meet the needs of Canada’s farmers will shine through for Farm Management Canada and its members, who will benefit greatly from her efforts.

Mathieu Lipari, Project Manager

Mathieu Lipari is the newest Project Manager at Farm Management Canada. Prior to joining Farm Management Canada, Mathieu worked in a similar capacity for the International Development Research Centre and for Guelph University. His studies include a B.B.A. from the University of Québec in Montreal and a Technical Degree in Agriculture from the University of Guelph. Having participated in a variety of agricultural projects in North and Central America, Europe and Africa, both as a Project Coordinator and as an Agricultural Technician, Mathieu has a good grasp of the challenges of agriculture in Canada and overseas.  His role at Farm Management Canada involves project management and specifically, bringing the best in farm business management Coast to Coast!

Christie Lefebvre, Program Coordinator

Christie is a graduate of the Professional Writing Program at Algonquin College in Ottawa, and has worked within the Farm Management Canada team in various supportive roles over the last four years. Christie has great enthusiasm for the Agriwebinar program and is committed to providing excellent customer service. Her role with the Farm Management Canada includes activities related to the Agriwebinar program, Farmcentre.com and other Farm Management Canada programs.

Heather Ferrier, Project Coordinator

Farm Management Canada is excited to welcome Heather back! Heather Ferrier began working with FMC as a student while completing her studies at the University of Guelph. Heather has recently completed her 5-year Bachelor of Commerce degree, specializing in Agribusiness and will be filling a vital role at FMC as project coordinator. Heather lives on the family’s beef farm near Perth, Ontario and was active in many 4-H clubs over the years. In 2010, Heather was chosen as the National Outstanding Young Farmer’s Memorial Scholarship recipient- being recognized as a student pursuing her passion for agriculture. Heather placed as a finalist in the Ontario Queen of the Furrow competition at the International Plowing Match in September 2011.

Shelly Moreau, Administration & Product Distribution

Shelly is a graduate of Larocque Lafortune College’s Administrative Assistant Program and has accumulated a wide variety of administrative experience working for not-for-profit, private and public businesses.  Shelly hopes that her organizational skills will be an asset to Farm Management Canada's evolving identity.  Shelly lives on a beef farm approximately one hour northeast of Ottawa with husband and two teenage children.
