Executive Director

Wendell Joyce was raised on mixed dairy and woodlot farm in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. After completing his B.Sc. at Macdonald of McGill University, he returned to the family farm for a number of years. While dairying Wendell taught vocational agriculture part-time at Champlain Regional College in Lennoxville, Quebec. In 1988 he accepted the position of director of the University Research Farm at McGill, and for the next five years had the enjoyable experience of interacting with some of Canada's top agricultural researchers while playing a facilitating role in support of their work. While at the research farm, Wendell completed his MBA at Concordia University in Montreal and served on the board of directors of the Dairy Herd Analysis Service.

In 1995 Wendell and his family returned to full-time active dairy production. The dawn of the new millennium brought new opportunities and the family moved to the Ottawa region where Wendell accepted a position with the Canadian Egg Marketing Agency. He later transferred to the Canadian Poultry and Egg Processors Council, prior to joining CFBMC as Executive Director in 2004.
